But yeh the game definately had more publicity after shutdown, but that goes for all the MMOs that go down. They suddenly get a huge spike of attention and all former players look back on how good/bad the game was. And make people that never played the game, regret that decision ;D.
i am one of those people T_T

Sucks truely for you my friend!... I wish more people got to experience it. And if I can do anything to bring it back, I will.

And that was no easy feat, especially in Ringfell or Brightvale.
One of the greatest moments in TCoS was right when I began playing.
I had just completed the tutorial and I was at the Hawks Landing docks. Then that absolutely breathtaking Parliament exploration music started playing and I looked up at the "sky". Of course, it was solid rock with giant holes in it, and the Deadspell Storm light was coming down through them. Amazing. That moment I was completely immersed in the game and this rarely happens to me. I found the game to be so addictive and immersive that I played it for days and days, and I was continuously surprised by the art direction and the game / sound / level design.
If there's anything I hate most in MMOs is travelling. Spellborn offered no mounts, yet I never felt "tired" of walking my character on long routes. Also, with the server almost empty, I never felt alone, because I felt like TCoS was a very good game to solo. Of course, playing with a party was also cool, but I never lost any sleep over it.
The traveling got bad in quarterstone and some desolate traveling qeusts for the rest i really didn ever got a problem with it. My skinshifter dealt with traveling pretty easily
Yeah skinshifter wolf FTW!
