Hello everybody, dear friends,

I had hoped that I wouldn't have to write this forum post, for the message it carries isn't a light one and is neither a fun one.

I'm currently in my last year of school and I've got a lot of work, in the form of both tests as well as my thesis which eat up a lot of time. My traineeship also takes up a lot of work.

Combining that with the bad public transport in Belgium (specially the trains - yesterday 1h of delays, today about 45mins), my days get quite short. But it's still doable to do other stuff - were it not for another problem which I have no other option for.

In the last few months my relationship with my girlfriend has really gone bad and I have no other option, as I live with her, to do some water in my wine. That also means that I'll need to go to bed earlier for her (hard to explain). As I wake up already at 5.45 AM, and now go to bed at about 10PM - 10.30 PM (and I live my house at 6.30 AM and get back at 6.00 PM) means that my days are really short.

My girlfriend, as both Cow and Dude know, isn't an easy person to live with.

In the few hours that make up my days, I have to do all of my schoolwork and all of my hobbies. I have tried to combine all of that, but it has been impossible to do all of it. The first thing that got "on hold" was Amane's Journey, something I really enjoy writing, but lack of time ruins it all.

Unfortunately, my other hobbies have been decreasing as well - it started with me gaming less and less, and then putting my webdesign hobbies back. Now, I have no other option than to put a step back here, on my own child, the Spellborn Fan Hub.

That doesn't mean however that nothing will happen here. I'm putting both Cow and Dude in charge, two dear friends of me that have proven before that they are to be trusted and they both have a big heart for this game. So I think I can't find better people to trust my own child with than Cow and Dude.

I won't be gone though - I'll still be around, but not as much as before. For hotfixes or some new functions coding I'll still be available, but Cow will inform me if I'm needed for that. He'll also inform me if somebody has a question for me - I'll still be here.

I love you all guys and putting a step back does hurt, but I fear I've got no other option at the moment. I've even stopped playing Guild Wars (well, almost... but it's only about 2 hours a week anymore compared to several hours previously..).

Hey Kevin,

thanks for the clarification. I hope I won't let you down.

As for possible concerns that this might be the end for Spellborn Fanhub; this is not true at all. We'll still be around lurking the interwebs for any possible information about the game.

Eli

We have been talking about this for some time now and it is a shame it has come down to this.

But I will support all the way through! So of coruse me and cow will look after your site.

And I dont think I am the only one that will support you, this community is a close one. ;]

@Cow: you won't let me down [Image: default_wink.png] I trust you completely. And that's something that I don't have with Kirsi anymore, so feel blessed [Image: default_wink.png]

@Dude, I've made you an admin as well so you're on equal foot as Cow

Guys even though I'm not a big poster, I'll still be around and of course I support Vampires decision a 100%.

I've no problem with Cow and Dude being admins so you two have my support too.

hope everything will turn out good

If anyone has any questions feel free to pm me (or dude) or email me: [email protected].
@Vamp, I hope everything works out for you.  If I were in your shoes I would do the same thing.

@Cow & Dude I know you will do an Awesome job with Spellborn.org, and I support you 101%

P.S. I had spoken with Vamp when I joined about a staff position here. I have just moved and have my own place with constant internet now. Therefore, I should be able to fulfill the time requirements needed for the said staff position. Please let me know what you guys can do.

Sincerly,
