For those of you who want to just experience the world of spellborn again and are not that technically experienced, i have compiled a sandbox-like server executable.
It's mostly meant for exploration (don't expect a working game-server).
See the included Readme.txt for more info and a small how to.

https://github.com/ValooFX/TCoSRebornSandbox/releases

Tested under win7 64bit, it will likely not run under 32bit.

I hope it's useful for someone.

EDIT: project moved to main repository: https://github.com/TCoS-Rebirth

This is awesome! It works and I can finally roam the world of Spellborn again. Thank you so much.

hello.
I can not connect to the test server now.
What address should I put in the sb-client file in etc/client?
I suppose I need to have a working Spellborn game before I add the sandbox version?

If you downloaded the zip file, there should a readme in it that explains what you have to change to get it to work (but basically, if you run it locally/on your machine) the address will be 127.0.0.1:22233

Hello Polymo,
With a little help from the family I got the sandbox working. Fantastic Smile. I went to the fields and saw a few of the black Panthers, Kotiyaros, that I killed a lot when I was leveling up my player. Quests are disabled, but walking around, hearing cheerful comments from the NPC and listen to the small music pieces from composer Jesper Kyd gives me back a lot of memories from the time the game was active. Greetings from Gorbag

32bit might also be possible, it's just because i couldn't get the corresponding sqlite dll to work properly and i thought that today most people would be on 64bit anyways :-P
I can look into that in a month or so, very busy currently.
