I'm sorry for my lack of communication recently, I am still working on the Spellborn files, some progress but not great progress, it is going slow because of work... I promise I will update everyone when i break through the barrier... and i'll probably be on vent soon.
as for website development, i haven't heard anything about asuracake yet, or when the Dev build will be ready... if you have this information i would appreciate it @Vamp. also are you still working on the new portal? is there anything i can do with that project? Have a question? I'm here to help! Quote:I'm sorry for my lack of communication recently, I am still working on the Spellborn files, some progress but not great progress, it is going slow because of work... I'm really quiet lately, but there are reasons for that
I'm more busy than ever, and in my few hours I have free I try to focus on the asuracake. I had hoped to launch a skeleton version on the 20th of August, but it seems it's not going to happen. Plans for the Asuracake are really ambitious, and I want to launch it whenever it feels right. Start imaging a Facebook-like site for GW2. That's a small part of the Asuracake. For GW1 there will be builds integration and so on... a lot is still being worked on. At the moment I'm working on the basic layouts for profiles and underlying code. As soon as you guys can start using it you'll know it. I don't know when that will be though. As for the new Spellborn Portal: it's also being worked on. It takes a lot of time and requires a lot of code changes, so it will be done when it's done. For the Spellborn Fan Hub I'm searching for a content editor. More info on that soon!

1920*1200 unfortunately I couldn't get rid of the login window. (Problem solved via tip from Acid, F9 did the trick) Just to give all of you a little rememberance.. Greetings Jan-Willem http://home.versatel.nl/malgrat/plaatjes...Screen.jpg This post was last modified: 31-12-2012, 07:43 PM by JW-NL.
Hey Hey all, an earlier message of me has disappeared into the digital dustbin, that's why I repost it now.
The message had more information and links to the tools/programs I used at the moment to be able to get information / read the animation parts of the UT2004 and Spellborn Animations.  By comparing the UT2004 animations in the Unreal 2004 editor and make changes to it I now know where most of the bits and bytes belong to and should be able do write some code to export the skeletal meshes and the animations that belong to them into the .PSK and .PSA file format.  This kind of files on it's turn can be used to import back into Unreal on the same or higher versions of the engine or into an editor program like 3D studio Max.  For the moment I'm still working on it and it seems to be going in the right direction, I just don't wanna give a date for the thing being ready.  In the mean Time Acid has found something nice that works together with my Spellborn rewrite tool, let's just say we're able to see most of the Spellborn world again.  Greetings Jan-Willem aka JW-NL This post was last modified: 30-03-2013, 03:41 PM by JW-NL.
It's not perfect yet, but here a screenshot of an area that only the chosen few might have seen earlier:
(Or not, SB devs / GM's ..... Â ), Â Come on, someone should still have some way to get a SB server running, or should we realy figure it out ourselves. Â Greetings Jan-Willem. Â This post was last modified: 14-09-2013, 09:15 AM by JW-NL.
Hello everyone,
A few days ago Acid noticed that Chris evenhuis was giving a signing session at a comicbookshop in Breda.  Since it's only an hour by car to get there Ciara and I went there to get our boxed Spellborn booklets signed by Chris and have a little chat with him.  During his drawing sessions I didn't want to disturb him too much, but a little chat here and there was possible.  He was surprised by the fact that there is still a nice amount of Spellborn fans. I told him about the work Acid and I did and our continued effort to get the game back in the air and asked if he might have a clue about the rights of Spellborn at this time.  Since he left the Spellborn team before the ending of the project he was not sure of anything, but he might ask around by some of his former collegue's  It was a nice meeting, but due to the car parking time we had to leave early back to Uden.  Thanks to http://www.destripspecialist.nl/ for organising the meeting and maybe till another time.  Greetings Jan-Willem and Ciara.  Here's some of the work by Chris hands:  http://www.conceptart.org/showthread.php...&p=2416660  http://chrisevenhuis.deviantart.com/gallery/32043751 |
