i thought i'd post a little update (because i'm excited) on what's theoretically possible for now because of Saltiels great work.

But: this is still an early stage, many many things in the packet are still unknown.

Very cool,

 

One thing I noticed are the high values of body mind and soul, those were starting at 0 then while leveling points could be added.

max values was somewhere around 50 if I remember right.

 

And I never liked the daevi characters [Image: default_tongue.gif]

Awesome work Polymo!

The doc is continuously updated with Polymo's work and mine if you are interested. I started an How To on reversing TCoS's packet, it's a WIP and I'm open to suggestions.

how many skills where available to learn, when you started a new character?

Can't really recall how many there were. But you had to have some atleast due to the rotating skillbar. Has anyone confirmed it rotates for them (when filling it up with skills)?

On the character creation you can choose 2 skills, plus the three basics (hack, slash, shoot) it makes 5 skills. When you started you had no access to all the skill bars (named "tier" I think), just the two firsts. Then at some levels you unlocked new tier, but I don't remember exactly at which (and I think sometimes you unlocked two in one level up).

 

You don't need to guess that data as it will be fed by the character creation step. [Image: default_wink.png]

if someone has or can get access to the database somehow, that would be extremely helpful as all the ids are very unpredictable (for example amplify fear skill is 106928)
