Hosting a wiki

Hello guys [Image: default_wink.png]

Since Wikia is fucking things up terribly, I suggest we start our own Spellborn-wiki - hosting would be provided by me (as long as it's not getting way too big - in that case I'll have to add ads, but I won't make them big in numbers).

Anybody is for this idea? This could be a great way too add more stuff to the SpellBorn Fan Hub, even though Spellborn isn't here at the moment - we could at least try to make information available. I know that there is a wikia, but those guys are really fucking things up, so I suggest we try to make our own one, and try to make all spellborn related information available on this domain.

I was just wondering what do mean when you say "those guys are really fucking things up"?

Just because personnaly I never had trouble browsing in it.

Thanks in advance for the info

Just look at the issues that GuildWiki and PVX wiki are having with them.

They're forcing skins on wikis, one with only 680px for content, with loads of ads. This means lots of remaking stuff (templates), resizing stuff, basicly remaking a whole wiki.

Also, they signed a contract with GuildWiki promising no ads, but when they moved over to Wikia, they added ads from day 1. They're liars, and they're making harmful decisions, and they're forcing them up.

Now you're talking about stuff related to Guild Wars.

I say: take over DB.

I've tried contacting Hinx, but no reply as of now. And I sent that mail a while ago.
