Reversing Spellborn

The two display names could be due to the workings of some quests, the NPCs would do as if they were civilians, then later in the quest they changed to the vilains.

Just playing around and set up a little server its all very basic and can only get as far as character select but for anyone that wants to play with char select...

change the IP for client/net/login_addr to...

Hmm,

 

Two things:

 

The registration page hangs at the last process on IE 11.

And even after registration I get  Failed to connect to the Spellborn network. Maby a problem with the open ports of your NAT rules.

Registration page is kind of badly hacked together example code just to get users in the db. 

 

on the connecting its not behind nat, the problems in the code it seems. I'm seeing login attempts and it is sending the L2C_USER_LOGIN_ACK packet with a 0 result so it seems to be working then we get a disconnect packet from the client...

 

It's working ok for my client on multiple machines so I'm guessing it must be a subtle difference in the versions, I'm using the 0.8 client

Ohh. With 0.9 i got "You have been disconnected from the login server". I'll try 0.8

hmm, just got the 0.9 client installed and its working fine... now I'm confused.

Now it works for me too

Reinstalled and now it works! (0.9)
