Server updates/upgrades

Hello everybody,

 

Our server has just been updated and now has double the amount of RAM, which should resolve some of the MySQL issues we were having ("Error connecting to the database).

Over the last few months/years, MySQL has become more and more obsolete though, so I have decided to replace it with a modern alternative, MariaDB. 

 

This migration has already happened, and I don't expect any issues coming forward from this.

I'm also actively working on improving the load times of our site, so expect this to improve as well.

It's possible that, because of the changes I've made, that our site will be slower for a while, but this should improve quickly.

And now the server has been updated to run the latest and greatest version of Ubuntu Server, 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr.
