Added this thread to have a bit of fun in the maps.
Today's challenge:

I doubt it. Did you delete the sb_client.ini and the user.ini?

just did that. But it didn't help. it almost always freezes at the map loading screen.

I would say, delete and reinstal the SB client, or do a new installation in a different folder and make a file compare to see if it comes from file corruption.
But be sure to save your own edited files in a save spot.
Normally the complete SB folder can be copied to a new pc, just make a new shortcut and SB should work again.

Not felt like doing a filecompare, but a reinstall did fix it somehow (atleast for the few times i tested it).

There is another tip for some pc's.
In some cases it was due to the content of the shaderscache folder.
The solution: In the folder "c:\program files\The chronicles of spellborn\ data\cache" delete the folder "shaderscache".  In it's place create a file named "shaderscache" without file extension. Make it have the read only attribute. This also helps speeding zoning.

Yes, that indeed was a fix i discovered earlier too. After starting the client for the xth time, i noticed that the loading became slower and slower, after deleting that folder it went back to super fast. so made it a habit of deleting that once in a while.
I'll try that readonly file suggestion, sounds like a cool 'fix'.
